Many high officials and celebrity friends have joined Ly Nha Ky in the press conference to announce her new role on June 6^th in Ho Chi Minh city including Romanian Ambassador in Viet Nam, Miss Viet Nam Runner Up Le Hang, singer Nguyen Vu and Vu Ha, 

Throughout her term, Ly Nha Ky is confident to fulfill her mission of “protecting the rights and benefits of Romanian citizens, promote and enhance the ties of friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Romania in economy, commerce, tourism, culture, science, as well as other diplomatic relationship.” 

Previously, the Honorary Consul Appointment Ceremony to Ly Nha Ky was held on May 30^th in Ha Noi, in the presence of Mr. Nguyen Minh Vu, Assistant to Head of Foreign Affair Department and Head of the Consular Department. 

Romanian Ambassador in Viet Nam Valeriu Arteni congratulated Ms. Ly Nha Ky.

During the press conference, Romanian Ambassador Valeriu Arteni revealed many of the former Vietnam Tourism Ambassador’s strength that contribute to her potential successes as the Honorary Consul namely her keen talent in many fields, flexibility, wisdom, and her various connections. He highly appreciates her dedication in encouraging relations between the two countries.  

“Ly Nha Ky is not receiving any compensation for the role. There are many Honorary Consuls of different countries in the world who are successful businessmen and women, and who are able to accomplish their business work along with the role as a Consul. Ms. Ly Nha Ky is perfectly suited to be Romanian Honorary Consul in Viet Nam,” shared Mr. Valeriu Arteni. 

The Romanian Ambassador also discussed the possibility of a reappointment of the Honorary Consul after her term end. The reappointment process will be based on Ly Nha Ky’s personal desire and Romanian Embassy’s need at the time. The official ceremony announcing Ly Nha Ky’s new role in Ho Chi Minh city will be held on June 6^th.
